### What's the app called?

The official name of the app is **Marathon**. Our social handles and domain are named Marathon TV App because just "Marathon" was taken 😅

### Why is it named Marathon?

A marathon is "an event in which viewers or readers engage many hours' worth of media in a condensed time period" [[1]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marathon_(media)). We thought it was fitting!

### Is my data safe?

Any data you add to Marathon is safe and secure. We use Google and Apple authentication to ensure only you can update and access sensitive data, like your email and phone number.

### Who can see my activity?

Everyone on Marathon has the ability to see your activity on the app.

### Is Marathon free to use?

## Logging

### How do I add a show?

To add a show, first visit the show's dedicated page. Tapping the `Add` button will add the show to your watchlist.

### What's the difference between pausing, stopping, and removing a show?

Pausing and stopping are just different ways of categorizing a show!

- If you pause a show, it means you plan to come back to it later.
- If you stop a show, you're no longer watching but don't want to lose your progress.

If you've already started a show, it's recommended to pause or stop rather than remove.

Removing a show will delete all your progress permanently.

### How do I log my progress?

To start logging your progress, simply tap the checkbox available next to an episode.

You can log whole seasons at a time by tapping the checkbox or the `Watch S01` button.

You can also log entire shows at once by tapping the `Watch all` button on a show page.

### How do I start a rewatch?

To start a rewatch, tap the `...` button next to a show and select the `Rewatch` action.

You can start a rewatch at any time, even if you haven't finished the show.

### How do I switch between rewatches?

You can easily switch between rewatches by tapping the `...` button next to a show and selecting the `Change watch` action.

From this menu, you can also add notes to a rewatch (like who you're watching it with) or delete a rewatch.

### What's included in my subscription?

You will receive an exclusive badge and the ability to customize posters for any of your shows. Stay tuned for more features!

### How much does it cost?

Marathon+ is only 1.99 USD per month. You can cancel at anytime.

### Can I use my subscription across devices/platforms?

Yes, Marathon+ is linked to your account and will be available on any iOS or Android device that you sign in to.

### Can I share my subscription with others?

Unfortunately, we do not yet have a family sharing plan. All subscriptions must be bought individually.

### Will Marathon remain free?

Yes, we will continue to offer all existing and future core features for free! Marathon+ is an optional subscription that supports our development and unlocks additional features.

If you have an idea, feel free to submit it to the Marathon feature request board in your app settings.

### How do I report a bug?

If you come across a bug, please submit it using the `Send feedback` button in your app settings.

### How do I report a user?
